THE TRAGEDY OF INFORMATIONAL MALNUTRITION

The worst monster of the millennium: the Disinformation Crisis. The one who writes to you here, being optimistic, chooses to bet all the chips on the statement that the worst crisis of the millennium is the Disinformation Crisis. Technological advances, very soon, will mean nothing when compared to the economic breakdowns caused by Disinformation—a crisis that is already among us and is gravely tending to become permanently established by 2030. We are in the year 2026, and until then, there is still a long road ahead and much will happen. Chief among these will be the waste of resources, a grave alarm that will affect everyone and will not discriminate by social class, causing holistic damage with a clear outcome: regression.

The society of progress that took us so long to build, and which showed great potential for growth, will face a new threat with the arrival of 6G connectivity, which will soon be upon us: economic illiteracy. Many malicious individuals will take advantage of this weakness through the logic of asset accumulation, enriching themselves illicitly at the expense of all the efforts achieved by Generation X and Generation Y. Generation Z will be caught off guard, while Generation Alpha—the generation of the future, our children—won’t even know the license plate number of the vehicle that ran them over.

Disinformation is spreading to every corner of the planet. The logic is: we want to connect. However, connectivity will be hijacked by greed and the monstrosity of those who stop at nothing in pursuit of ambition, driven by the society of Savage Capitalism, which stands in opposition to Humanistic Capitalism. More than ever, we must prevent this from happening. The containment of these effects can only be achieved through a Global Educational Matrix built by the UN, one that outlines acceptable standards and combats the violence that is the attack of disinformation. We must remain vigilant to protect children and future generations, who may even cease to exist—not in the literal sense of birth rates, but in the figurative sense of lacking a Sense of Human Dignity—unless there is a realignment of global policies.

With this, I mean that the UN must be summoned to convene a series of assemblies in favor of a resolution for a Global Educational Matrix that includes Tools to Combat Disinformation starting now! Our need is urgent, and meanwhile, several other crises are spreading as a direct consequence of the one mentioned: the Disinformation Crisis. The media must be reviewed as quickly as possible, and the Human curriculum must be structured in a global manner. We must not return to the paths of the past, and the progress made up to now must not be lost in a vast ocean of excess nothingness—with History playing a fundamental role in this matter, for example.

Generation Alpha—our children—at school, only want to play and refuse to learn cursive writing, creating disorder and leaving teachers disoriented in their pedagogical approach. As it stands, education is handled according to how each country interprets it, without any universal support or framework to combat the negative effects on student development. In Mathematics, algebraic relationships—those involving variable values—are drastically rejected by the majority of students, who end up graduating without knowing, for example, the value of anything, how much something costs, or how to apply force at a given vertex when it comes to Physical/Mathematical relationships.

For these and other reasons, this post is a Cry for Help for the UN to urgently summon its specialized agencies to address the issue. UNICEF must be made aware of these positions in order to act swiftly. The Disinformation Crisis, I repeat, will not choose Social Class, rich country or poor country—its worsening will only show increasingly harmful effects beyond those already demonstrated if nothing is done. I see many donation campaigns for the purchase of nutritional food, which is excellent, but I see nothing for intellectual nourishment. And when it comes to the latter, we are all unprotected in the present and near future, such that soon we will all be without cognitive soul, living like zombies at the mercy of wars and material violence—if nothing is done. And those who will pay the highest price will be the future generations, who will inherit a broken toy—Social Order—and won’t even know what that toy is supposed to be for.
