THE SOAP OPERA OF AI AND FRAUD: UNTIL WHEN?

Let’s be clear! The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly directed toward graphics and images. As a result, many malicious individuals are exploiting AI to commit fraud against others, and I must admit this is happening in an excessive way. There is a constant movement of people seeking to deceive others for financial gain—imitating appearances and voices, making promises that are not real—through a tool that should, in fact, be an ally in the path of progress and scientific advancement.

Frauds involving AI are occurring everywhere. No one can distinguish anymore what is natural from what is artificially produced. By this I mean it is necessary to stop this type of activity. Virtual masking resources must be banned, and anyone attempting to produce image or video masks with voice should and must have their account blocked in AI databases. What should be advancement and progress for humanity is, in reality, being used as a shield for fraud and extortion of well-intentioned people.

There must be consensus among developers on this matter. We can no longer tolerate the falsehoods and scams that are constantly victimizing decent people through Fake News. At this very moment, as you read these words, millions of people may be deceived, and it is urgent to put a definitive end to this criminal practice that occurs openly in broad daylight, without any excuse.

The use of AI must be regulated. Blocking malicious accounts is more than necessary, yet many fail to see it—the losses are countless. History shows us that if we do not act in time, we will enter a point of no return, heading toward the regression of scientific and promising advances of this new era. It is time for regulation. We must—and should—have the ability to filter what truly helps society from what does not align with the fundamental principle of Human Dignity.

The reproduction of people’s voices, images, and emotions by AI must urgently be banned, so that we may rest our heads on our pillows with peace of mind. AI exists to serve humanity by streamlining calculations, providing data, and enabling enhanced and intelligent searches for real information—distanced from everything false. Unfortunately, what we are witnessing today is the exact opposite. We are all in the same boat, and with the current use of AI, we are sinking into lies, reclassifications of things that are not real, and we will all end up dying if we do not act now! The responsibility lies with all of us! More than ever, we need to make the crossing of the Pacific Ocean with our damaged boat.
